Terms of Use – Bcservicefinder.ca
(Part 1: Scope, Licensing, Registration, Listings, and Usage Policies)
1. Scope and Purpose of the Agreement
a. The use of Bcservicefinder.ca is subject to the following policies. Any failure to comply with the terms outlined may result in the suspension or termination of your account, and legal action may be taken where necessary.
b. Bcservicefinder.ca (hereafter referred to as “the website”) serves as a self-service online platform (“the Forum”) where users can create and respond to service listings. Users are solely responsible for engaging in private agreements with one another, provided that such actions comply with the website’s policies.
c. Users are solely accountable for all content they upload and any consequences that result. Bcservicefinder.ca is not a party to any transactions, agreements, or arrangements made between users or between users and third parties. The website only functions as a technical medium of communication. It does not monitor, review, or mediate user behavior or content unless policy violations occur. In such cases, appropriate actions may be taken, including reporting to relevant authorities without prior notice.
d. These policies are subject to change. Updates will be posted on the Policies page of the website. The user’s continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any updated terms. Users are responsible for reviewing the current policies. External policies created by users or third parties are not recognized by Bcservicefinder.ca.
2. Licensing and User Rights
a. Bcservicefinder.ca provides technical infrastructure enabling users to post and respond to listings. Agreements or transactions must comply with the platform’s policies.
b. Bcservicefinder.ca accepts no liability for lost income, service interruptions, or changes to functionality. Access to features may be modified or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
c. The core use of the website is free of charge. Users may opt for additional services (e.g. premium plans or upgrades) to enhance their experience. All pricing is transparently listed—see our “PRO Plans” section for more details.
d. Users will receive confirmation of any upgrades or premium subscriptions by email.
e. Subscription plans can be managed through: Menu > Settings > Profile Status.
f. In the event of acquisition or partnership, Bcservicefinder.ca may transfer its rights and obligations to a third party, with or without notice.
3. User Registration and Listings
a. Bcservicefinder.ca is available to all eligible individuals. Users must register using the online form and provide accurate and truthful information. Users are responsible for updating their account details. Only one account is allowed per user.
b. Only individuals 18 years or older, or those legally capable under applicable law, may register. Bcservicefinder.ca reserves the right to request identification documentation at any time.
c. When choosing a username, it must not contain an email address, domain name, or trademark unless authorized. Supporting documentation may be requested.
d. In case of suspected unauthorized access, users must contact support immediately. Bcservicefinder.ca may restrict or close accounts as needed. If breaches are user-caused, users may be liable for damages.
e. The website retains the right to block or deny access or registration without reason. This may include automated exclusions based on geography or behavior.
f. Users must keep all personal and contact information current. Inaccurate details are the sole responsibility of the user.
g. For safety and compliance, Bcservicefinder.ca may restrict or remove user content or activity. Blocked users may not create new accounts. Valid complaints will be reviewed and actioned.
h. Users may publish and respond to listings if both parties are legally eligible. Supporting documentation may be requested and must be provided promptly via the contact form, post, or email.
i. Listings may be automatically declined if they breach site policies, laws, or standards of decency. Inactive listings or accounts may be removed after six months.
j. By uploading or submitting content, users grant Bcservicefinder.ca a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, modify, adapt, distribute, and republish content across any media. This license may be sublicensed to affiliates without further consent.
4. Terms of Use, Content Responsibility & Policy Compliance
a. All activities on Bcservicefinder.ca must comply with these terms. This includes posting listings, sending quotes or messages, and arranging service agreements.
b. Users are fully responsible for the truthfulness and completeness of listing content. Business users must comply with applicable consumer laws and inform clients of cancellation or refund rights. Duplicate or misleading listings are prohibited.
c. Users may not post content that violates the law, third-party rights, or these terms. Prohibited behaviors include fraud, misinformation, spam, misuse of technical systems, or promotion of violence, discrimination, or exploitation.
d. Users must not act on behalf of others unless properly authorized.
e. Spamming or unauthorized promotion (including in messages, edits, reviews) is not permitted. For official advertising, inquiries should be sent to: advertising@bcservicefinder.ca.
f. Policy violations may result in temporary or permanent blocks. This includes spamming, incomplete profiles, abuse, or unfair competition.
g. Fees for premium features may change based on spam-related activity. Spam includes low-effort listings, duplicated content, wrong category placement, and mass postings.
h. Bcservicefinder.ca stands against all forms of sexual abuse or exploitation. It will cooperate with law enforcement where required.
i. Listings or accounts involving prohibited services or violating policies may be frozen or deleted. No refunds will be issued for services forfeited due to policy violations.
5. Use of Adult Content Categories
a. Bcservicefinder.ca includes adult-oriented listings in designated categories. By accessing them, users confirm that:
- They are of legal age in their jurisdiction;
- They will use the site lawfully;
- Viewing such content is legal in their location;
- They are not offended by adult material;
- They will prevent minors from accessing adult content;
- They understand the use of cookies on the site.
6. Communication
a. Communication between Bcservicefinder.ca and users is primarily conducted via email. Users may also reach out through the contact form or by mailing:

7. Fees, Premium Features & PRO Listings
a. The basic usage of Bcservicefinder.ca is free. Fees may apply for certain categories and optional premium services.
b. Fees are charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD), unless otherwise specified.
c. Payments are due immediately and must be completed via accepted payment methods. Users bear the cost of failed payment attempts.
d. Users will receive notifications through their dashboard and registered email accounts.
e. Service access may be restricted for overdue payments.
f. Service features and pricing may change at any time.
g. No refunds are issued for unused time after deleting a listing. Discounted plans are non-refundable.
h. Users may subscribe to monthly or yearly PRO Plans. Cancellations result in forfeiture of any unused duration, and no refunds are granted.
i. PRO Business Listings are CAD $20/month or CAD $240/year. Discounts may apply for yearly plans.
j. Price changes will be communicated 14 days in advance through the user dashboard.
k. Subscription charges are billed monthly or annually on the same calendar day. If the day doesn’t exist (e.g., February), the final calendar day is used.
l. Non-payment or policy breaches may result in the withdrawal of PRO benefits.
m. Access to PRO features is granted only after successful payment.
n. PRO status becomes active immediately upon payment.
o. All charges are non-refundable.
p. Automatic renewals apply unless canceled by the user. Promotions do not extend into renewals.
q. Cancellations can be made under Settings > Profile Status > Cancel Your Listing. Service continues until the end of the billing cycle.
r. The only valid cancellation method is via the user’s account dashboard.
8. Procurement – Request-Based “I am looking for” Listings
- Users can post and respond to “I am looking for” listings.
- All agreements and contracts are strictly between users; ServiceFinder.co.nz is not a party to any such agreements.
- Users must ensure all descriptions are accurate and legal, and they are solely responsible for verifying and accepting all terms.
- Listings may be removed without notice for violations.
- Content is user-generated; ServiceFinder.co.nz does not moderate content but reserves the right to delete inappropriate material.
- Users must follow local laws regarding restricted or regulated goods and services.
9. Prohibited Content, Items and Services
- Users must comply with all applicable laws. Prohibited listings include:
- Illegal, unsafe, or restricted goods (e.g. drugs, weapons, fake documents, stolen property).
- Harmful or offensive content, including hate speech, nudity, religious/political extremism.
- Misleading or exploitative job ads, like pyramid schemes or unclear work terms.
- Pet-related restrictions include no animal sales or cruel equipment.
- Duplicate listings and spam are banned.
- Listings must clearly describe a specific item/service—no vague or link-only ads.
- Users must not defame others or manipulate category placements (e.g., posting in the wrong dating category).
10. Reviews
- Users can review other users based on actual experiences.
- Reviews must be objective and respectful; no illegal or abusive content.
- Reviews are not moderated but may be removed if unfit.
- Misuse of the review system (e.g., fake reviews) is prohibited.
- ServiceFinder.co.nz is granted broad rights to reuse posted reviews, and users must ensure they own the content they submit.
11. Indemnification, Exemptions and Liability Limitations
- Users agree to indemnify the platform and its team from all legal claims related to their activity.
- The site is provided “as is”; no guarantees for uptime or data accuracy.
- Users remain responsible for their own content and any legal claims that may arise from it.
- No refunds will be issued for account suspensions due to policy violations.
- Liability is limited to either one NZD or six months of user fees, whichever is higher.
12. Privacy, Data Protection
- User data is stored securely and used to deliver platform services.
- Users can modify or delete their data via the website or contact form.
- Data may be shared with third parties when necessary for platform functionality.
- Any malicious activity or privacy violations are strictly forbidden.
13. Statutory Provisions, Miscellaneous
- Policies may be updated at any time. Continued use means acceptance.
- Users can leave the platform if they disagree with updates.
- Account transfers and password sharing are prohibited.
- The platform is operated by hoapā spa (a small team), and disputes fall under New Zealand jurisdiction.
- If any clause is invalid, the rest of the policies remain effective.
